Studio46 Media had the opportunity to partner with Godolphin to host the 2020 Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards on November 5, 2020. The yearly event recognizes and rewards the outstanding talent, diligence, and commitment of the farm and racing stable staff in the thoroughbred industry.
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic and lack of in-person events, the fifth year of The Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards took place virtually during Breeders’ Cup week. The ceremony was hosted by Jill Byrne, Vice President of Racing Operations at Colonial Downs live from Studio46 in Lexington, KY.
Godolphin invited their audience to join them through a livestream of the awards ceremony. Each award finalist was invited to be on the Zoom call so the audience could watch each finalist receive their award presentation. You can see the full presentation here.
Partners of the event consisted of The Jockey Club, the National Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association, The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, and the Breeders’ Cup. Media partners included; BloodHorse Publications, The Thoroughbred Daily News, the Daily Racing Form, The Paulick Report, TVG, and Fox Sports.
